Customer Tips....give the rep a break!
Godaddy does employ alot of poeple. And even if those workers made the bad choice of employment there, you can help them out.
Have your account number, 4 digit pin and phone number ready. The reps get QA'd on those things. Don't make it hard on them.
The reps are most likely new and don't know everything. They don't "run to another computer" when they can't find an answer. They are getting a hold of someone that knows. Most of the time via calling another department. But, they are trying to find the right answer.
If you are going to buy something...call in. The reps need the sales to keep their jobs and sometimes have a better discount code if you can't google a good one. Godaddy saves a ton of money by not using a toll free number. So, slam the discount code if you are going to use them. If you pay full price for a server, you are screwing yourself.
Don't be an ass on the phone. You are calling in for help. So, that now makes 2 of you that don't know what hell you are doing.
Email servers get backed up. There's your answer to slow arriving emails.
All of your FTP information is in your Hosting Dashboard. Use it. Login with your godaddy account number and password.
Network Protection means someone is attacking the server. People hate godaddy and love to mess with their servers. That's the facts.
The reps have a number of internal tools they can use to troubleshoot your issues (toolzilla, bigfoot jr., reggie and trogdor are just a few). But, most of the tools are at your finger tips. Here are a few. Use them before calling in:
